The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the Board and employees on all issues that arise as they carry out the Board’s safety mission. OGC provides legal interpretation, drafts rulemakings and other legal documents, and represents the Board in any litigation or other legal proceeding that may occur. OGC also provides employees with ethics advice, manages the alternative dispute resolution program, and coordinates with the Office of the Technical Director on safety allegations at defense nuclear facilities.
